Arts In Perpetuity Trust Studios
The brief from the community of artists was for six sculpture studios. The most was made of the site as found. A former welding shed had been requisitioned for the construction of a rail viaduct. It was handed back an empty site with the wall to the street still standing. This was carefully restored. Behind, the timber structure sits on the existing concrete raft. An industrial roof provides top light. By the tidal Creek at the rear is an area for working outside. Much of the specialist finishing work was carried out by the artist members of the Trust.
